Styles and Designs

There are many designs and styles of manufactured fire pits. There first one is a really simply terra cotta structure called a chimena. These are clay pot with an opening on the side and set with a metal frame. There are normally found in sizes from 2 to 6 feet. They are easily portalbe and the smallest of modes are often found on balconies or small patios. They are large enough to build a small fire and enjoy the heat from the chimnea.

Other really popular models are either round, square or rectangular shaped metal framed bowls that can be set up anywhere. They are also very easy to move and are easily transported from place to place. The almost look like a giant bowl on a metal stand. You need to make sure there are no local ordinances that prohibit you from having one in your yard or home. Make sure they are allowed. Some towns prohibit burning in any shape or form.
